Kenneth Wayne Walker, 75, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life December 30, 2018. He was born June 17, 1943, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to C.A. and Joyce (Brown) Walker. He was retired from sales and security work. He worked for DK Metal and Chisholm Trail Casino. He married MayNell Burger in Waurika, Oklahoma May 20, 1978. 

Kenneth graduated from Wichita Falls High School in Wichita Falls, Texas and attended Midwestern State University where he was a member of Kappa Sig Fraternity. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and director and member of the pastor search committee. He was a past president of the Waurika Lions Club, a T-ball coach, and the #1 Eagle fan for his kids and grandkids. He was also a fan of the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents C.A. and Joyce Walker, brother Richard Glen Walker, in-laws Cread and Doris Burger, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He is survived by: his wife MayNell of the home in Waurika, OK; sisters – Karen Vanacor of The Woodlands, TX, Dianna Waddle of Harvey, LA, and Deborah and her husband Tim Lillard of O’Fallon, IL; brother-in-law Bud Burger and wife Martha of Duncan; children – Pat and her husband Gary Robinson of Hastings, OK, Richard Walker and his wife Leah of Wichita Falls, TX, John Cread Walling and his wife Candice of Waurika, OK, Jill and her husband Dale Bates of Waurika, OK, and Jeff Walker and his wife Stacy of Zanesville, OH; grandchildren – Megan Hall, Sean Hall, Kali Walker, Broday Walker, Amber Hall, Alexandra Walling , Gracie Walling, Gaige Walker, Jenna Walker and Mayzie Walling; great-grandchildren – Brynn Walker and Joc Douglas Edwards; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Matt Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be from noon to 8:00 PM Thursday with the family receiving visitors at and from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the Waurika High School Scholarship fund for Waurika High School.
